Which plan fits your workflow?

Compare the tools you need and your account allowance before buying. Plus is $20 monthly; a higher Pro price buys a different capacity tier rather than a promise that every task is unlimited.

Billing, regions and extra costs

This is an individual web-plan snapshot, not Business, Enterprise or regional checkout pricing. Go exists but its current numeric USD amount was not exposed in the retrieved page. API-account usage is separately billed. Some eligible older Pro 200 accounts retain their previous allowance only through October 29, 2026.

Regional checkout, taxes and store subscriptions can differ from web pricing. No regional price arbitrage or fixed personal allowance is implied by this snapshot.

What this price table answers

Use the table to separate monthly individual subscriptions from usage billed to an API account. Numeric prices are verified web prices on the stated review date; an unknown Go amount remains unknown. This is a purchase checklist, not a live checkout or a promise of a fixed number of tasks.

Check the account you will use, available models and tools, currency, tax, renewal date and any promotion before paying. Record the checkout total. Comparing that total with another product in the same currency is more useful than comparing a regional offer with a US headline price.

A complete monthly budget example

Illustrative budget: one Plus subscription at the reviewed $20 price and a separate, assumed $12 API bill total $32 for the month. The $12 is a scenario input, not an official allowance or a measured invoice. Two independent $20 subscriptions instead cost $40 before tax, without any API spending included.

If a subscription supports 20 accepted tasks in this example, allocating $20 ÷ 20 gives $1 of subscription cost per accepted task. This is budget allocation, not the way ChatGPT bills a task. Count accepted work after review, and record API charges, retries and review time separately.

Compare Plus and Pro with a normal week of work

Keep a log with date, tool, selected model, task, accepted result, limit encountered, extra charge and review minutes. For example: “10 October; coding; one bug fix; tests passed after review; no limit; no extra charge; 15 minutes.” This is a template, not an AI Price Spy test result.

Choose capacity from that log. If you rarely reach a limit, a higher plan might not solve your problem. If you repeatedly stop before a time-sensitive task is complete, check the exact account allowance and what the proposed tier changes before comparing the additional monthly cost.

Subscription allowance and gateway requests

Before connecting an editor or agent, identify the credential and who pays for requests. A ChatGPT account allowance and an independently billed API key are different budget paths. A compatible endpoint by itself does not establish that an app subscription will pay for the requests.

Read the Codex usage and gateway guides for the current credential rules. Back up local configuration and start with a small approved task; compare its usage record with your budget. No third-party gateway compatibility test is implied by this pricing review.

Questions before subscribing

Does Plus include an OpenAI API credit balance?

No. Independently billed API-account usage is separate. Eligible participating tools may use a ChatGPT allowance only through the authorized account-sharing flow; that is not an API credit balance.

Can I pay annually for Plus?

The official Plus help page says there is no annual billing option. At $20 monthly, twelve payments total $240 before tax.

Is Pro 200 still closed to new subscribers?

No. The official Pro article reviewed on October 10 says it is available again. New subscriptions without grandfathering receive a lower allowance than the earlier Pro 200 offer.

Why is Go marked unverified?

The retrieved official information confirmed the plan but did not expose a numeric checkout price. We preserve the missing amount instead of inferring a global price.
