Billing, regions and extra costs

Individual web plans only; tax, mobile checkout and organization plans differ. Pro has no included API credit. Eligible Max credits require claiming into a Claude Console organization and are not an unlimited API allowance.

Individual subscription, session capacity and API credit

The table covers individual web subscriptions. Pro, Max session capacity and claimable API credits should be evaluated as separate benefits. Team and Enterprise are outside this individual comparison; do not multiply an individual price to infer an organization quote.

For eligible Max credits, the official instructions require an active plan, seven days of eligibility and a claim into a Console organization. Check the destination organization and its credit balance before making API requests. Do not treat an unclaimed benefit as available cash or usage already tested by this site.

Annual Pro: the complete calculation

Reviewed monthly Pro is $20. Twelve monthly payments cost 12 × $20 = $240; the annual upfront payment is $200. The full-year difference is $40, or $40 ÷ $240 = 16.67% of that monthly-payment total. The annual equivalent is $200 ÷ 12 = $16.67 per month.

That equivalent is a budgeting number, not an installment offer. If you use the product for only eight months, eight monthly payments total $160; an annual upfront payment is $40 more. This example assumes no refund, promotion or tax adjustment, and makes no claim about cancellation entitlements.

A capacity upgrade example

Moving from Pro at $20 to Max 5x at $100 adds $80 per month before tax. In an illustrative workflow, if the upgrade enables 40 additional accepted tasks, the added subscription cost allocates to $80 ÷ 40 = $2 per extra accepted task. That task count is a scenario, not a promised allowance.

Log the specific limit, tasks delayed, outcomes accepted and review time during an ordinary week. Compare the added cost with the value of the useful work that was actually blocked. A larger capacity tier cannot by itself prove better accuracy or faster review.

Use Claude Code without confusing billing paths

First decide whether you are using the included plan login or a Console or gateway credential. Check the active credential in the tool and the matching usage screen. Keep subscription charges, optional paid usage and API spending in separate rows of your budget.
